The Black Women’s Expo took over Chicago last weekend leaving trail of must have new trends and products. Check out some of my favorite brand finds at the Black Women’s Expo!

Urban Skin Rx

In the mix of all the brands and products being showcased at the Black Women’s Expo Urban Skin Rx definitely piqued my interest. Now for the past few months, i have been avidly looking for the best skin care regimen and product line up. After looking into the best of K Beauty i know the necessary products for any successful routine. So stumbling into Urban Skin Rx was a plus. Largely because this isn’t just your regular drug store brand. Urban Skin Rx is a clinical and esthetician based brand that “ offers scientifically researched corrective skin care products for all skin tones and colors”.

Having coined itself as the “ Melanin Experts”. It’s a  major plus because, like most women of color, hyperpigmentation can be of issue.  At the Expo, Urban Skin Rx by far had the best demo and offered on the spot advice about my personal skin problems. As well as offering the best choice of products for my skin. I can’t wait for my products to come in. I definitely encourage you to give it a try. If you aren’t sure where to start to be sure to take their Skin Quiz.

Mielle Organics

Mielle . . .  Mielle. . . I was beyond excited to see the Mielle Organics booth front and center at the Expo. Now i have been in love with their products since their black Friday sale, so I was ready to see what was new and that i could try. Luckily for me, they had their latest Rosemary Mint Line available. I copped a few new faves, especially the Rosemary Mint Scalp and Hair Strengthening Hair Oil. So far I really love the product. Be sure to tell me what you think in the comments below.

Luster’s Pink

Surprisingly, this year’s main beauty sponsor was Luster’s Pink. I was here for it simply because it was this was one of the original black hair care brands. Everyone remembers the Pink hair lotion, even the smell. I for one had no idea they have a new product line specifically for naturals. Their latest line, the Shea Butter Coconut Oil line consists of eight products. Of which has certified organic shea butter and coconut oil.  During the BW Expo, they provided live demos for on models and customers with some of their most loved products. I defiantly added their Shea Butter Coconut Oil line to my product wish list.

The Main Choice

Finding the Mane Choice at the expo was really refreshing. Now I personally have never bought any of their products but they defiantly have an extensive array. I have always come across them but didn’t have that – jump off the ledge urge to go buy them. Although, I did after seeing them at the expo. They had on hand beauty and product experts ready and willing to help you find the best product for your hair. While at the expo I expressed that i was looking for length retention and moisture. (my biggest hair issue). The ladies directed me to their Tropical Moringa Sweet Oil & Honey Endless Moisture Collection which specifically helps support natural growth and retention.  I’ll be trying out the collection throughout the rest of April to see what result may be in store.

I loved finding new products and brand at the Black Women’s Expo. It was nice having such an array of black owned products be so accessible in one room. Be sure to comment below and tell me about your experience at the BWe or your product faves from this years sponsors.
